Ancient routes and patterns in the landscape are a constant source of inspiration. My impressionist paintings in oils or acrylics focus on 'Spirit of Place' and what makes places unique. I return again and again to the same places to capture the atmosphere and wellbeing that these places bring.
Next event: Friday 13th-Sun 15th February 2026. There is currently an exhibition of my paintings at the Jeannie Avent Gallery, 14 North Cross Road, East Dulwich, London SE22 and I will be there for the weekend.

"My wife and I approached Sophie earlier in the year to paint a tree for us! We have a walk that we like to do, and on that walk is a tree - a magnificent tree that takes our breath away - so we were hoping Sophie could capture something of its beauty.
